Sketch 8: Family Picking Blackberries

Sunday afternoon might be the perfect time for collecting special moments within any public space. Everyone seems to take their beloved and stroll the streets, performing whichever activity they please. For me, what makes it special is that so many different things happen so close to one another! It was so hard to choose THE moment worth sketching.

And then, I saw a mother with her two children, picking blackberries in the middle of a public park! In the Czech Republic, it is widespread to pick fruits in public spaces, but here in the UK, quite rare! The family came prepared, bringing boxes, focusing, enjoying themselves. And I wondered: what sort of blackberry pie will they bake for their afternoon tea?
