LOGOS & LABELS
Spot on illustrations is often what makes projects successful. My goal is to visually communicate ideas, research or key concepts to ensure they stand out and are clearly understood by each given audience. I illustrate articles, draw diagrams for documents and prepare presentations not only for my work as an urban designer. I created the following illustrations using Adobe Suite & my Apple pencil while working as an assistant urban designer for edge Urban Design.
ILLUSTRATIONS
I love using all sorts of software, including Adobe Fresco, Photoshop, InDesign, CAD, hand drawing & painting, model-making, photography etc., to create collages. This allows me to achieve different styles, levels of details and atmospheres to create playful and original collages to accompany not just architectural projects.
COLLAGES
Precision, patience, attention to detail. One of my favourite things to do as a designer is to build a real-life model. I am one of the people who indulge in sitting all night folding paper to build tiny stairs or cutting and sanding wood in a workshop. I believe such tasks help develop 3D thinking and understanding form in space, skills transferable to the online environment. And the result is beautiful and satisfying.
MODEL-MAKING
Understanding the line. Shadow and light. Value of empty space. Recognising when a sketch is finished. Having an eye for balance. I developed all these skills through sketching, one of my favourite pastimes. Sketching helps me understand the world around me, focus on elements and forms that are important.
