Well, kids certainly don't. In fact, they don't seem to be moved at all by the fact that in an aeroplane, our time should ideally consist of reading books, eating tiny food and drinking from tiny cups, or perhaps of the visible suffering we go through after switching our phones to aeroplane mode. How well-organised, relaxing and monotonous could our flights become if it weren't for the liveliness of all the children on board? They shout, cry, laugh, run, and make their parents invent so many creative ways of distracting them. Children make some fellow travellers smile, others frown. And they certainly made my flight from Greece to Vienna a memory worth sketching.
